FLOOR
There are 4 rooms on the main floor of Kingston Road United Church. They are:
- Sanctuary
- Mitchell Hall
- Mitchell Hall Kitchen
- Library
The main floor is ideal for hosting events. For example, Mitchell Hall might be used for a sit-down dinner, and the Library for a reception.
SANCTUARY
The Sanctuary is a beautiful space for worship, weddings, theatrical/musical productions, concerts, and seminars. The Narthex at the rear of the Sanctuary provides a convient place for greeting, ticket selling, etc.It has the capacity for 550 people, and has a balcony at the back.
The Sanctuary has a modern sound system with multiple microphones. There are acoustical panels on the walls that provide crystal clear sound in the Sanctuary. KRU can provide a sound technician for your event if required.
The Sanctuary also features a Steinway grand piano which is regularly maintained and tuned.
For parents with young children, we have a carpetted and gated area at the back of the church where their children can play during our service. Toys are provided for your convenience.
MITCHELL HALL
Mitchell Hall is a bright multi-purpose room that is available for meetings, social events, and exercise classes. It is connected to a full kitchen, which can be sectioned off if not required. It features white linoleum, bright windows and lights, round tables and an attractive wall hanging. Mitchell Hall also features a piano.MITCHELL HALL KITCHEN
The Mitchell Hall kitchen contains all the modern conveniences such as a full fridge, stove, microwave, and industrial dishwasher. There is a double sink and ample counter space. There are plates, dishes and cutlery available. It opens up to Mitchell Hall if you need to cater an event.LIBRARY/PARLOUR
The Library (also known as the Parlour) is a carpetted room lined with books. It offers many seating arrangements. There are up to 4 sofas and loveseats available in addition to single chairs. There are two longer tables in the room for meetings or buffets.A large 60-inch TV is available that can be hooked up to a DVD player for movie viewing. There are cables available to connect a laptop to the TV using the VGA port for Powerpoint presentations and streaming.
